Home Friendship Group
Leader: George & Lynda Doty
Home Friendship Groups are small groups of people who are at various stages in their Christianity. They meet in your neighborhood to develop in their relationship with God and others. A Home Friendship Group is a place where the real issues we face daily are discussed from a Biblical perspective. It is a secure place where we can express our feelings, regardless of our background or circumstances. People discover that God is real and active in their lives as they find there are people who genuinely care about one another. The model of Home Friendship Groups is found in the Bible: "Everyday they continue to meet together they broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people." -Acts 2:46-47 In Home Friendship Groups, there is:

God is present, yet they are not a church service.

Discussion of the scriptures as they relate to life, yet they are not a Bible Study.

People pray for special needs, yet they are not a prayer meeting.

Encouragement is given, yet they are not a support group.

Everyone has a wonderful time, yet they are not a social event.

True friendships are developed, yet they are not a friendship club.

Anyone may belong to the Home Friendship Group that meets weekly in your area.
Come and dine! We meet each Thursday at 5:30 p.m. Call 635-5459 for more information, directions, and to reserve a place at our Dinner Table.
